Loading Dock Plate Repairs
Located on the west side of the Hudson River, Rockland County is just north of New York City, yet does not directly border any of its boroughs. Even so, it is only nine miles away at its shortest point, and contains 10 exits along the New York State Thruway where travelers can access the Big Apple.
Although it is the smallest county in area outside of New York City, it is also the third most densely populated, being home to more than 311,687 people.
Rockland County NY has the distinction of having a 2.3 megawatt solar field. Built on a 13-acre section of land that was once a garbage dump, this solar field contains more than 4,300 solar panels that collectively are capable of generating up to 3 million kilowatt hours of electricity. This is enough to power approximately 200 homes, and will eventually be used to cover around one-third of the Town of Clarkston’s electrical needs.
A local point of interest is The Old 76 House. This tavern is one of the oldest bars in America, and was once a meeting place and official headquarters of Nathaniel Greene during the American Revolution. Located in Tappan, The Old 76 House is actually a Dutch-style home that many believe dates as far back as 1686.
